SOFTBALL ON HOLD FOR NOW
I received a text from Adam A Ripple
Attorney for Sauk Rapids.

"Under the Governor's Current order, softball cannot yet resume.
We anticipate additional guidelines sometime this week that may change the status of things. While the ball leagues may continue to plan in anticipation of starting play, the City fields cannot be used until permitted by law. This may require the implementation of additional rules. We will update you as information comes in"

SOFTBALL IS ON HOLD FOR US

CORONAVIRUS GUIDELINES FOR SOFTBALL IN SAUK RAPIDS
Starting date for Sauk Rapids Softball Leagues will be Monday, June 8th 2020
The most important aspect of staying safe is to avoid contact as much as possible.
IF ATHLETES OR SPECTATORS HAVE POSIBLE SYMPTIONS OF THE VIRUS STAY HOME.
Wearing a face covering is strongly recommend but optional.
Stay 6 feet apart as much as possible.
Avoid chewing gum, chewing tobacco and spitting on the ground.
Avoid face contact with your hands. Avoid spitting in your hand before touching your glove, bat or ball.
No high fives, no handshakes and other physical contact with teammates, opposing players, coaches, umpires or fans. “A tip of the cap” can be used following the game.
Containers of hand sanitizers will be available.
Umpires calling balls & strikes should allow adequate distance behind the catcher while still able to perform their duty.
Avoid contact with other peoples beverages or snacks.
With the late start this year we will extend the season into September and eliminate the fall league.

PARK RULES
General Park Rules:

1.  Clean the dugouts after each game. There are plenty of garbage cans near each field.

2.  No food or beverages are to be brought into the park. We do have concessions that support our fields.

3.  All dogs should be on a leash.

4.  Dispose of all cigarette butts into the garbage.
